Password Resets 2017–2018

Password Resets for 2017–2018 As part of the system roll-over and for added security, all user passwords have been reset. All user accounts from the 2016–2017 school year remain active, however, when users log into any FSA System for the first time this school year, they will need to create a new password. If users attempt to sign in with their old password, they will receive the following error message and should follow the Forgot your password? link to change their password. As part of the system roll-over and for added security, all user passwords have been reset. While all user accounts from the school year remain active, users will need to create a new password the first time they log into any FSA System this school year. As stated, this provides added security and will prevent users no longer associated with the district to access student data and test items. If users attempt to sign in with their old password, they will receive an error message and should follow the Forgot your Password? link to change their password.

Answer Document Tracking Reports
Available to assist DACs with tracking the return of used and unused test and answer books. Purpose: to identify—before student score reports are received—any discrepancies that may exist between a district’s records of what was returned and the contractor’s records of what was received. Posted on Fridays in TIDE ≈ 5 days after scanning begins. CSV Format. Report is an accumulation each week of all test/answer books received/not received at DRC. Summary report at the end of the spreadsheet after individual student records.
16
Answer Document Tracking Reports
Two new columns, ‘Total Shipped’ and ‘% Not Returned’, added to the end of the summary report to assist districts in identifying materials not returned. Districts and schools can filter the report at a student level (if a student tested or not within their district/school). Using the summary report, districts can research at a school level (what schools have not returned materials for a particular grade or subject or how many missing test/answer books does the district/school have as a whole?). Districts can filter different columns researching a particular student, the number of documents processed or even the number of documents not returned.

iOS 11 Release iOS 11 release date is unknown but will likely be released in early fall. Fall EOC and ELA Retake opens on 9/11 AIR has been working with a beta version and intends to support iOS 11 this school year. AIR must wait for the full version to complete its testing. Typically, we can support a major iOS release within 30 days. It is possible that iOS 11 will be released in the middle of the test window. You may not be able to roll the device back to a previous version. In anticipation of an iOS 11 release prior to the end of the Fall administrations, please consider turning off auto-update: Settings iTunes & App Store Updates Off
22
Chrome OS The FSA runs on versions 59 and 60.x.
Throughout the school year, we intend to support the latest 3 versions of Chrome OS. As in the past, AIR will automatically support “point version updates” (e.g., when the OS updates from to 60.03). These point releases are minor and occur often. However, it is good practice to upgrade your OS to the latest supported version prior to the testing window and then turn off “auto-update” until the testing window is over.

FSA Reporting System Downloadable Data Files (DAC users only)
Data files such as SAR,DAR are encrypted and password-protected Password Requirement – Additional layer of security Zip Software that supports encryption is required (e.g. WinZip, 7-Zip, Peazip) The password provides an additional layer of security for your district’s student results data, which reside on the AIR servers. The PDF and Excel reports are generated from data stored in an encrypted database in real time when the button to generate a report is clicked, so they are not at risk of being hacked or compromised. District data files are pre-generated and packaged on the server and are potentially vulnerable to aggressive malicious code, so the encryption and password requirement provide additional protection to ensure your data remain secure. Most users should have Winzip or 7-zip installed on their computers to unzip the password protected zip file. For users who do NOT have winzip/7-zip installed on their computers and do NOT have administrative privileges to install those on their computers. They will need to use a portable .zip extractor (such as Peazip portable, or 7-zip portable. Extracting password protected zip files using peazip:
