Its main theme is, “How a sinful people may approach a holy God.”
Can be broken down into 9 sections regarding different kinds of laws.

The loaves were to be without leaven (Pride/Hypocrisy), honey (sensual indulgence) and should include salt (honesty/preservation from corruption.)

A day which all looked eagerly toward.
A day devoted to repentance and worship
The day the high priest would enter the Most Holy Place and make atonement for sins.
Pointed directly to Calvary and Christ.
The day of Atonement is a reiteration of everything covered from chapters 1-15.

2 main ideas:
Place
Sacrifices must be brought a certain way.
The tabernacle door is a type of Christ.
To not sacrifice God’s way means that you sacrifice to someone or something else.
Substance
Blood has always been the cornerstone of sacrifice.
Blood alone made the atonement.
The main theme of this law is that faith must always be accompanied by obedience.
