2 A ‘GREAT COMMISSION’ MOVEMENT

3 Luke 24:44-46 “He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”

4 45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures
45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day.”

5 1. BE BIBLICALY GROUNDED

6 DECLARATION OF FAITH The CRC Churches International believes in and presents the following basic truths: The Canonical Scriptures The Scriptures, as originally written, are infallible and inspired by God.

7 They alone constitute the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to Christian faith and practice. They are not to be added to, superseded, or changed by later tradition or supposed revelation;

8 and because the Bible is the completed revelation of God
and because the Bible is the completed revelation of God. Whatever is not contained therein is not to be declared as an article of faith.

9 1 Kings 12:28-30 28 After seeking advice, the king made two golden calves. He said to the people, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”

10 29 One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan
29 One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan. 30 And this thing became a sin; the people came to worship the one at Bethel and went as far as Dan to worship the other.”

11 2. ALWAYS PREACH JESUS

12 2 Timothy 3:14-15 “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,

13 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

14 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 “And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.

15 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling.

16 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.”

17 Luke 24:47-48 “and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.”

18 3. EXPECT REAL CONVERSIONS

19 Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

20 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

21 Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

22 Colossians 3:13 “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

23 4. RECEIVE CONTINUAL EMPOWERMENT

24 Luke 24:49 "I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you receive power from on high."

30 “Some people see things as they are and ask why
“Some people see things as they are and ask why? ... But I dream things that never were; and say why not?” - George Bernard Shaw -

31 “All men dream, but not equally
“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.” - T.E. Lawrence -
