3. INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT WEEK
26th Anniversary of IDW
ACT 4 Global Change – 2nd Year with Challenge during IDW.
Schools through Atlantic Canada participate and log ACTions ACT4GlobalChange.ca
In 2015 Shatford Memorial Elementary School (Pop. 74), in Hubbards, NS won the challenge for their ACTions and received a $500 prize towards a Take Action Project of their choice.
“I think it is important for students to participate in things like the ACT 4 Global Change Challenge because it is a stepping stone to being an active adult citizen and they need to feel like they have power, that they can make a change in the world.”
