5. How the program works Step 1
You, as a Harvard Pilgrim member, call SaveOn line, (855) 7SaveOn ( ), whenever a doctor recommends outpatient tests/procedures such as:
SaveOn nurses inform you of lower-cost, Harvard Pilgrim-participating providers in your area. They can even reschedule your appointment and help with necessary paperwork. It’s always best to call before your appointment so your nurse will have time to reschedule your appointment with your preferred provider!
Bone density study
Ultrasound
Colonoscopy
Radiology (e.g., MRI and CT scan)
Lab tests
Other non-emergency outpatient tests and procedures

6. How the program works (cont.)

If you choose to have your test at one of the lower-cost providers, you can earn between $10 and $100. Reward dollars depend on service and associated cost savings.
You’ll receive a check in the mail after Harvard Pilgrim processes the claim, about 45 days after you receive your Activity Summary.
Each individual may earn up to five rewards per calendar year.

7. REWARDS PAID TO SAVEON USERS
$10 reward for callers who are already using to a low-cost provider (there must be at least one provider in the area for which the cost is $100 more than the provider you are using AND there cannot be another provider that is $100 less)
20% of the savings, up to a maximum reward of $100 if you switch to a low-cost provider, up to 5 rewards per calendar year per enrolled member
