2. Learners Experiences
Pupil Questionnaire
carry out questionnaire on Survey Monkey to get the views of pupils and parents regarding the PE experience. Data will be analysed and changes implemented where appropriate for session 16/17. Questionnaire will be issued in May 2016.
Profiling
Staff to look at integrating the Pupil Profile into activity blocks. Homework to be issued to all classes at the end of the block – staff to provide examples of what can be put in profile.
Facilities
continue to raise and manage the issues regarding PE facilities
Improvements in Performance
Course Evaluations
Following areas will be focus of evaluations and recommendations will be made regarding any changes for next session. – Teaching approaches, Unit & Course Assessment procedures, Facilities, Activities & resources. Evaluation reports for next course will be done during Study Leave

compile report on 14/15 results – data to be looked at by department – if required changes to be implemented for this session. Completed by end of August

produce Adv H course – Year Plan, Course Workbook, Assessment Calendar & Teaching resources. In place for October 2015.
Sport & Recreation Course
produce Sport & Rec course – Year Plan, Course Workbook, Assessment Calendar & Teaching resources. In place for October 2015.
Outdoor Learning Course
produce Outdoor Curriculum – Year Plan, Course Workbook, Assessment Calendar & Teaching resources. In place for October 2015.
Girls uptake of certificated courses
investigate options aimed at increasing up take of girls at certificated level.

4. Meeting Learners Needs
Ipad Resources
Staff to produce resources that support and enhance the TL that already exists. This will be done on a ongoing process.
SMHW
investigate SMHW capabilities and how it can be used to enhance/improve the procedures currently in place.
Study Materials
investigate different possibilities for course notes/workbooks. Aim is to create a system where pupils can access from home – Google Drive, SMHW library, ItunesU etc
Early Intervention
Department to implement a procedure for recognising pupils who are on the wrong course. Seek support of SMT with this. Aim is to have pupils in appropriate class before the end of August. liaise with other departments to share ideas.

5. Improvement Through Self Evaluation
Departmental review
Process of review will be issued by SMT. Department to use the results of review to shape department CPD.
Classroom Observations
produce a yearly timetable of observation opportunities. Departmental policy on classroom observations to be produced and share with dept staff.
GTCs
All staff to use to record and document CPD. PDRS meetings to be completed on line.

Continue to promote the Sports Colours scheme. Look to roll out across whole school.
Proposal for Sports Award Evening – Celebrate everything sporting – award prizes, colours etc. Aim to have in place for June 2016

continue to push Authority on state of facilities. MUGA being a major concern
