4. Today, you will be working with your group to “unpack” the SpringBoard Unit.
You will make a poster to present to the class.
I will be hanging these up inside the classroom, so produce visually appealing work!
Make sure you include the following:
Level you are using
Name and Number of the unit
Brief outline/explanation of the TWO embedded assessments. Include the page number
Find TWO AP/College Readiness standards and paraphrase them
Find the essential questions
1 WOW! from the unit…something that you are excited about/interested in/find fun and WHY it is a WOW!
1 WHOA! from the unit…something that concerns you, think will be difficult and WHY it is a WHOA!
The types of genres we will be reading
The major texts we will be reading
A visual that you feel represents the unit as a whole -- this can be symbolic
Make your poster colorful, creative, insightful. Everyone must contribute and everyone must present a portion of the poster.
