Saturday Afternoon Lenten Retreats
Plan on a half-day (afternoon) of fasting and silent prayer, time alone with God - away from the daily bustle of activities. Give yourself a time of slowing down and being still with the Lord in prayer. Prayer is not only asking, or talking to God. Prayer is much more - prayer is walking with God. It is time set apart just to be with Him, and God longs for us to spend time with Him.
What to bring: a familiar Bible, a Rosary, a notebook for journaling, pen/pencil, a devotional book to read, comfortable walking shoes, a portable music device, and earphones.
 Things to do on your own in quiet surroundings: 
Go for a walk with God – Journal – Read a devotional book or Bible – Have a coffee break with God – Meditate on the Names of God, the Cross, Creation
