2. Numeracy Review Integers:
When Adding and Subtracting Integers: Always eliminate double signs.
When Multiplying and Dividing Integers:
Two Positives or two Negatives give a Positive result.
One Positive and one Negative give a Negative result.
The Acronym for the order is BEDMAS
All calculations must be done from left to right.
Do the calculations within the brackets (parenthesis). When you have more than one set of brackets, do the inner brackets first.
Exponents (or radicals) must be done next.
Then, do multiplications/divisions in the order they appear from left to right.
Then, do additions/subtractions in the order they appear from left to right.

Common denominator are NEEDED
Change all mixed numbers to proper fractions
Keep all negative sign (“ - ”) with the numerator
Reduce final answers if possible.

9. Numeracy Review Fractions When Multiplying and Dividing Fractions
Keep all negative sign (“ - ”) with the numerator
Change mixed numbers to improper fractions
Make sure final answer is reduced
For division, multiply by the reciprocal (change sign to “X” and flip the second fraction)
