Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) CMS Training For Food Services Staff

Objective At the end of this training Food Service staff will be knowledgeable in: How to complete the SFSP CMS production worksheet for columns: Amount prepared Amount leftover Comments section Transferring production worksheets counts into CMS SFSP production record tabs: Item Counts Meals/Revenue Daily Comments/Menu Completing CMS Daily Entry for SFSP programs TELL: At the end of this training Food Service staff will be knowledgeable in: How to complete the SFSP CMS production worksheet for columns 7 Amount prepared, 11 Amount leftover, and the Comments section. Transfer from the production worksheets counts into the CMS production record tabs Item Counts Meals/Revenue Daily Comments/Menu Completing CMS Daily Entry for SFSP programs

SFSP Production Worksheet Amount Prepared
Crenshaw Branch YMCA- 50, LAB 135th St El – 100, RAP – 100, Angeles Mesa EL- 50 150 125 25 30 10 20 5 120 140 130 100 145 SFSP Crenshaw HS The Food Services Manager or designee will adjust column 7 “Amount Prepared” to the actual amount prepared for your SFSP program on site only. TELL: The Food Services Manager or designee will fill in the amount prepared on the SFSP production worksheet with the actual amount of food items prepared for your SFSP Program only. Do not include any food items prepared for the non-prep sites, YMCA, LA’s BEST (closed sites), or RAP. NOTE- The non-prep site such as Angeles Mesa El. will not have to complete CMS production worksheet or production records at their sites.

SFSP Production Worksheet Amount Leftover
Crenshaw Branch YMCA- 50, LAB 135th St El – 100, RAP – 100, Angeles Mesa EL- 50 The Food Services Manager or designee will record the “Amount Leftover” on column 11 for your SFSP program on site only. 150 5 145 10 140 150 30 120 150 20 130 150 20 130 TELL: Record your sites SFSP program leftover count to the “amount leftover” on the production worksheet. Do not include leftovers from the YMCA, LA’s BEST, or non-prep sites. All leftovers from these programs must be discarded. 150 5 145 125 25 100 25 5 20

SFSP Production Worksheet Comments
Crenshaw Branch YMCA- 50, LAB 135th St El – 100, RAP – 100, Angeles Mesa EL- 50 150 5 145 10 140 150 30 120 150 20 130 150 20 130 TELL: Separately list each program and number of meals delivered to RAP, YMCA, LAB’s (closed sites), and Non-Prep Sites in the “Comments Section”. The name of each program and meals delivered will need to be listed in the comments section for example Crenshaw Branch YMCA was delivered 50 meals. LAB 135th St El (closed site) was delivered 100 meals. RAP was delivered 100 meals and Angeles Mesa El (non-prep site) was delivered 50 meals. All closed sites, non-prep sites and RAP meals being prepared at your site must each be listed in the comments section. Separately list each program (specific name) and number of meals delivered to RAP, YMCA, LAB’s (closed sites), and Non-Prep Sites in the “Comments Section” 150 5 145 125 25 100 25 5 20

Transferring Production Worksheet Data Into CMS
Enter the information from the SFSP production worksheet to SFSP production record. TELL: Enter the numbers from the SFSP production worksheet into the CMS SFSP production record item counts tab.

CMS Meals/Revenue Tab The Meals/Revenue tab pertains to the number of children served through the POS line in the cafeteria. Using the Summer Daily Meal Count form Section 2 (Total first meals) Enter the number of reimbursable meals served to the children at the SFSP site only under the Meals Served ALL area. TELL: The Meals/Revenue tab pertains to the number of children served through the POS line in the cafeteria. Use the Summer Daily Meal Count form Section 2 (Total First Meals). CMS Daily Comments/Menu Tab
The Daily Comments are used to enter anything that applies to the day’s production. Transfer the comments written on the production worksheet to the CMS production record. Meal sent to each program: Crenshaw Branch YMCA-50 LAB 135th St El-100 RAP-100 Angeles Mesa El (non-prep site)-50 TELL: The Daily Comments are used to enter anything that applies to the day’s production. Site Drop Down List Selection
To enter information into the daily entry tab select the correct site from the site drop down list: SFSP, YMCA, or the LAB site The SFSP, YMCA and LAB site will display in the Daily Entry site drop down arrow Crenshaw Branch YMCA LAB-135th st el TELL: To enter information into the daily entry tab, select the correct site from the site drop down list. Select either the SFSP site, YMCA, or LA’s BEST’s (LAB)program.

CMS Daily Entry Enter the numbers into CMS Daily Entry at the end of each meal service by selecting the SFSP program you will be entering numbers for. Select the lunch or snack tab and enter the numbers using the Daily Meal Count form. 145 TELL: Enter the numbers into CMS Daily Entry at the end of each meal service by selecting the SFSP program you will be entering numbers for.
