11 Enterprise Structure The Enterprise Structure ‘Organizational Data’ reflects structure of your business. This is in alignment with the FI/CO organizational structure of BSNL. Every transaction occurs within this structure. Company Code Sales Organization Distribution Channel Division Sales Office Delivery plant Shipping point

12 Company Code Entities The company code is the organizational unit that allows to structure the organization from a financial accounting perspective. Following entities have been identified to be treated as company codes in BSNL. Corporate office : 01 Telecom Circles : 26 Project Circles : 05 Maintenance Regions : 04 Telecom Factories : 03 Training Centers : 03 Others : 06

13 Sales Organization A sales organization represents the organizational structures in sales and distribution (SAP SD). Each sales organization represents a selling unit as a legal entity. Each business transaction is processed within a sales organization. Sales Organization sells and distributes products, negotiates terms of sales and is responsible for these business transactions. In BSNL, there will be one sales organization assigned to each company code. sales organization is assigned to exactly one company code. A sales organization is assigned to one or more plants. Each sales organization has its own master data, for example, its own customer and material master data as well as condition records.

16 Distribution Channel A Distribution channel identifies how products and services reach the customer. One sales organization can have many distribution channels. One distribution channel can be assigned to many sales organizations. So the relation is many to many. Following distribution channels have been identified in BSNL. Direct Sales (CSC Sales, Direct customer sales – Telecom factory, scrap sales, POI, training services ) Channel Sales (Franchisee Sales, DSA Sales, Post Office Sales, Bundled Sales) Enterprise Business Civil & Electrical Inter circle sales

17 Division A Division is defined for the product lines of the Sales Organization. Sales to Division: One sales organization can have many divisions. One division can Organization be assigned to many sales organizations. So the relation is many to many. Following divisions have been identified in BSNL. 18 Sales Office Sales Office is defined as a territory or market area for Sales activities. A sales office has an address. Coding for sales office will be 0001, 0002 and so on. Each SSA will be treated as a Sales Office. Each CSC will be treated as Storage Location.

19 Delivery Plant Each plant in MM will be treated as delivery plant in SD. The plant coding nomenclature will be followed as per MM org structure. Following category of delivery plants are identified Delivery Plants Corporate – Corporate is identified as one plant and therefore as one delivery plant. Telecom Circles – Each circle and corresponding SSA have been identified as plant and therefore delivery plant. Telecom Regions - Each telecom region is identified as plant and therefore as delivery plant. Telecom Projects - Each telecom project circle is identified as plant and therefore as delivery plant. Telecom Factories - Each telecom factory is identified as plant and therefore as delivery plant. Training Centres - Each training centre is identified as plant and therefore as delivery plant.

20 Shipping points There will be one shipping point corresponding to each delivery plant. Shipping points are identified as Corporate Telecom Circles / SSA’s Telecom Regions Telecom Projects Telecom Factories Training Centres

21 Sales & Distribution Boundaries
The ERP SD boundaries are identified as per discussions held with BSNL. The following are key decisions taken Channel Sales (BSNLFranchisee) to be tracked till first level. Sim Cards (Prepaid and Post Paid) Recharge Coupons Other pre-paid products E-PIN C-Top Up End Subscriber details will not be maintained in ERP. CAF management process, Activation process, Provisioning and end subscriber billing to be kept outside ERP. This includes all type of post paid billing for all categories of services offered by BSNL.

22 Sales & Distribution Boundaries ....... Contd.
Second point of sales will be tracked in Sancharsoft. Interface will be created to provide first point of sales data from SAP to Sancharsoft only. Leased Line / Data Circuits- Tvarit will be replaced by Elite Core. Elite core to take care for order management, provisioning and billing including Tvarit functionalities as well. The consolidated revenue to be imported to ERP through JV posting. Enterprise business Lead creation and tracking will be covered in SAP. Creation of provisional demand note shall be through the relevant billing. Creation of Advice note shall be through the relevant billing system. Project creation and monitoring will be covered in SAP. Revenue update: Through periodic financial JV as specified by BSNL Finance.

Legal selling unit (e.g., Product liability) responsible for revenue and product liability. Assigned to a company code where sales revenue is recognized. Used as selection criteria for sales documents, invoice lists Business Process Impacts Every SAP sales transaction (e.g. order, invoice, credit memo request) is assigned to a single Sales Organization In conjunction with other elements, sales organization can be used to derive pricing and revenue account determination rules Company is the lowest element in Consolidation hierarchy. Breakdown within sales organization for different product disbursement methods, such as, Retail, Key Accounts, Channel etc. Master data maintenance for materials, pricing, at sales organization/distribution channel Business Process Impacts Every SAP sales transaction (e.g. order, return, credit memo request) is assigned to a single Distribution Channel A product that is not valid for the Sales Organization/Distribution Channel combination specified at order entry can NOT be chosen for that order even if the customer is allowed to purchase that product

A way of Grouping Materials, Products, or Service Offerings Often used to define Business Unit/ Product Line/Productized Services Business Process Impact Every SAP sales transaction (e.g. order, return, credit memo request) is assigned to a single “Sales Division”

Sales Area is a combination of: Sales Organization Distribution Channel Division Business Process Impacts Sales revenues can be recognized and accounted for at this level Sales analysis can be performed at this level Each sales area can be linked to a set of elements that represent the sales support organization for that sales area

Geographical aspects of the organization in business development and sales are defined using the term sales office. A sales office can be considered as a zone or subsidiary. A sales office establishes contact between the firm and the market

A plant is an organizational logistics unit that structures the enterprise from the perspective of procurement, material planning, production and plant maintenance A plant can be warehouse, regional sales office, manufacturing facility, corporate headquarters, maintenance plant Each plant is assigned to a company code. One company code can have several plants. A plant can be assigned to only one company code. Inventory valuation can happen at company code level, or plant level Shipping Point Shipping point is the geographical entity from where the dispatches are carried out. There is many to many mapping between plant and shipping point.

Sales-related business transactions are recorded in SAP as sales documents. These are grouped into following categories Pre-sales documents: inquiries and quotations Sales orders Outline agreements, such as contracts and scheduling agreements Credit memo and Debit memo requests Delivery Invoice

Material Master used to sale product to customer Plant are assigned to sales Area Every single sales doc assigned to Sales area and each sales doc line item assigned to plant Shipping Point Assigned to Plant Dispatch Location are assigned to plant PR gets generated from Sales DOC in case of Third Party Since material will get dispatch directly from Vendor , PR get created from SO automatically Plant are used in sales doc Sale will book against a Plant for all legal , financial and Business purpose Material Doc generation at the time of delivery For all Material sale through project ,When goods move out of plant then material doc get generated in background to post COGS entry in FI

There is one to one relation between Company code and Sales org A/C determination , Deferred A/c Determination Each condition types linked with A/c Key which in term assigned to GL FI posting happens in Background with Post good issue and billing Cost ,Revenue , Liability , Accrual posting happens in back ground with every Sales transaction (Billing , Post Good Issue)
