Better data security, collaboration and visibility with Azure Information Protection
Challenge Solution Benefits As GM embarked on the journey of embracing mobility, it became more critical than ever before to safeguard their data when shared across devices. It also became increasingly important to enable safe sharing among groups within the organization as well as third party entities such as vendors and suppliers. The company purchased 145,000 seats of Enterprise Mobility +Security (EMS) in order to support the needs of a growing mobile work force while ensuring security of corporate data. They’re actively working on increasing the adoption of Azure Information Protection for their data protection needs. Even with a significant amount of data present in their on premise environment, the company can leverage the solution to ensure data security. To gain better insights into the usage of shared data, the company is also investigating using the document tracking and revocation feature. They also look forward to using data classification, labeling and protection capabilities when available. Increases security without inhibiting productivity Protects s and documents against unauthorized access Enables safe sharing of data with employees, vendors and suppliers Protection for data present on premise or in cloud Support for all file formats and device types Visibility and control over shared data
