4 Policy Solutions Being Utilized By the Govt.
The Foreign Aid Policy originally began with the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe in WWII The aid programs have been increasingly justified with the fact of anti-terrorism

5 Examples of Cooperation Between U.S. and Other Countries
World War II, I.e. the Marshall plan The Iraqi war- Iraqi Peace Our involvement in Israel-Our support for Israel against Palestine N.A.T.O.- (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) alliance of 26 countries from North America and Europe committed to fulfilling the goals of the North Atlantic N.A.F.T.A.-(North American Free Trade Agreement) Agreement between Canada and the U.S. and Mexico in hopes of increasing trade by reducing trade restrictions The United Nations-International Organization whose stated aims are to facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, and achieving world peace

6 Roles of the President, State Dept., and Congress
PRESIDENT: sets budgets for programs that are helpful for war on terrorism and foreign aid. STATE DEPT.: has given congressional interest regarding the management in any possible future reform of U.S. and foreign aid programs, but director of foreign assistance has authority over state dept. CONGRESS: beginning to re-shape our priorities, also keeps foreign aid focused on poverty reduction

7 Agree or Disagree? We came to a consensus that we agree with the Foreign Aid Policy Solutions because it is helping other countries in need and if we weren’t a World Power we would most likely depend on a World Power Country to defend us and help us gain peace between ourselves and other countries.
