7. Hurricane Matthew Response
With your help, Habitat aims to reach 17,500 people, as quickly as possible, by:
Getting emergency shelter materials and toolkits, hygiene kits, water containers and water filters to those who need them most
Clearing and repairing drains, canals and choke points to improve access to affected communities 
Training on disaster preparedness, building back safer and basic hygiene to limit the spread of disease and the impact of future disasters

8. Prayer Points
Pray for our brothers and sisters whose lives have been devastated by Hurricane Matthew.
Remember especially the people of Haiti, who were still recovering from the destruction of the earthquake.
Pray for those who have lost loved ones, and whose homes and businesses have been destroyed. Pray that God’s love will comfort and heal.
Ask God to provide peace in the hearts of those who are hurting and assurance that people around the world will respond with compassion and generosity.
Pray for all agencies who are working to reach families in desperate need, including Habitat for Humanity who has been working in the region for 32 years.
