Why is this an issue? One in every 150 children in United States has diagnosis. Little or no experience with ASD students Numerous accommodations and changes needed.

What to change? Physical Setup: limit stimuli
Teacher Preparation/Requirements: vary instructional methods; collaboration !!!!! Daily Schedules: make them VISUAL

What to address? Learning Problems and Difficulties: hard to engage; perseverate Behavioral Issues: disruptive, emotional Learning Styles: majority are visual learners Social Skills: trained peers

Reading: Computer based Transitioning: planning is necessary
