Metro Tech Branch Proudly Operated by Banking & Financial Service Students Career and Technical Education Metro Tech High School Canyon State Credit Union believes that when given the opportunity, teenage students can and will be smart money managers. The Metro Tech Branch was created to do that and more!

3 What do we do on campus? Why are we here?
We work with senior Business students to provide job training. We are here because… Help students understand how to use their account and how to manage their money. Teach Financial Literacy and conduct presentations. We work with the Banking & Finance students to provide on the job training… Learn about budgeting, the Stock Market, cash handling, participate in FBLA competitions, and much more! Students that take the Banking and Finance class can volunteer to work at the Metro Tech Branch. Students who intern have a better chance at potentially getting hired! 3

Write checks Make automatic payments Establish direct deposit No minimum balance and no monthly fees-with “e-statements” Earn interest if you maintain a minimum balance Make deposits and withdrawals Deposits are insured Access to a debit card – money is taken out of the checking account and can be used at stores and ATMs 5

8 Q & A When can I get my money out? Can I have an ATM card?
Can I use other branches? What happens when I graduate? Can I have an ATM card? A checking account? What if I want to close the account? Are there fees that I should know about? 8

9 Joining is easy! Students/Staff School/State ID
Minimum – $5.00 to deposit to savings Fill out an application – name, address, phone number, SSN (if you have one) and signature It’s really just that simple! 9

10 Main accounts Open a savings account first – parents do not have to be added to the account. Can have the ATM card. Checking account – if you are under 18, you need a responsible adult over the age of 18 to be on the account with you. They need to fill out the application, sign and date. We need a copy of their ID as well. Can have the debit card. 10
