Neighbors arrange viewing parties and teachers assign papers on the topic---Miranda has to write 3 separate ones!
Scientists miscalculated---widespread tsunamis, flooding, tidal waves, loss of power, death, destruction, etc…
Told through Miranda’s diaries over almost the course of a year

Main character is Apollo (?) who has been punished by Zeus and is now a 16 year old boy with flabby abs and acne
His punishment for failure is to lose his powers (and appearance) and serve a young demigod who has the power to fling trash at will
Filled with action-packed fight scenes, laughs and an extremely confident/egotistical protagonist as well as other favorites (Percy and Sally) from series past
