3 Natural Planning This method is when you do not have sex on the days you are most fertile This method also requires you to record your body temperature

4 Barrier Method Contraceptive Sponge
Made out of polyurethane foam and contains spermicide Only one kind sold in the U.S. Diaphragm, Cervical Cap, and Cervical Shield The diaphragm and cervical cap will require a doctor’s appt. All three must be left in 6-8 hours after sex Female Condom Male Condom Lubricated and non lubricated Oil lubricated can weaken and break

Releases a small amount of copper into the uterus Can stay in the uterus for 5-10yrs. Hormonal IUD Releases progestin into the uterus which prevents the ovaries from releasing an egg and causes the cervical mucus to thicken so sperm cannot reach the egg It can stay in the uterus for up to 5yrs.

The “Morning After” pill Need to take within 72 hours 18 and older can get over the counter Under 18, need doctor’s prescription Intense flu like side effects
