4 Expectations On Time – upstairs from 8.40am registration at 8.55am
Show and model our values Equality, Respect, Honesty, Positivity, Kindness. Show good learning behaviours Each class has created a class charter. Be responsible and independent

5 Behaviour Our school expectations may vary from your expectations at home. We will not tolerate rudeness – especially answering back or questioning the authority of adults All teachers at Brunswick Primary follow the same behaviour policy which can be seen on the website We do link behaviour to privileges in Year 6 (football team etc.)

6 Homework Daily reading (minimum 5 minutes) Weekly spellings
Weekly Mathletics A longer research/creative task each week Neat presentation with attention to accuracy in written work More homework and revision in the Spring term

7 PE All children have 2 sessions per week.
We expect a written note if your child can not do PE otherwise we expect them to join in. Children can not do PE in incorrect kit (including shoes) and if they don’t have this, they will fill in a lesson observation form. Earrings must be removed and long hair tied back.

8 Home Time You should ensure your child knows who they are going home with and how they are getting there. Children should not return into the playground to play after being dismissed. Changes for home time should be telephoned through to the office.

9 SATS Children sit the SATS in May.
We will offer more SATS information for parents in the Spring Term. There is no need to do past papers at home because we use them for revision in school.

10 Secondary School All secondary school queries are dealt with by school admissions. Class teachers / the school have no influence on any decisions made – please do not ask us to intervene. Visits can be made in school time if we have a letter explaining when and where.

11 Communication - Emails
is a quick, effective way of communication information however it does not replace face to face meetings where some discussion is required. Urgent messages should not be communicated through but should be phoned into the school office or left as a voic e.g. illness or alternative school pick up Staff will look at all s within 48 hours and respond to them within 72 hours Staff responses to s will be brief and may only be an acknowledgement Follow up to an may be face to face if the teacher feels that this is the best method of communication Staff will not respond to s over the weekends or during school holidays Teachers addresses will be given to parents during the ‘Meet the Year Group’ meetings at the beginning of the year. The office staff will provide parents/carers with a copy. They will not be published on the website. There will be no facility for Skype, Face Time or other video calling services.
