18 studies identified
13 for prevalence of AC in DM
5 compared AC prevalence in DM to controls.
Random effects model was used with 95% confidence intervals

4. Findings Prevalence of IAC in DM of 13.4% (95% CI 10.2-17.2%)
No difference between type 1 or type 2 DM or insulin therapy
Prevalence of DM in a population with IAC 30% (95%CI 24-37%)
Patients with DM are 5x more likely than controls to develop IAC
