Some day you will read in the papers that D.L. Moody, of East Northfield, is dead. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment I shall be more alive than I am now. July 23, 2017

4
Micah 4:5 For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.
5
Isaiah 25:1 O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt You; I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.

Isaiah 25:1 O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt You; I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.

8
Isaiah 25:1 O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt You; I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
9
Isaiah 25:2-3 For You have made the city a heap, the fortified city a ruin; the foreigners' palace is a city no more; it will never be rebuilt. Therefore strong peoples will glorify You; cities of ruthless nations will fear You.
10
Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
11
Isaiah 25:4-5 For You have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall, like heat in a dry place. You subdue the noise of the foreigners; as heat by the shade of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is put down.
12
Isaiah 25:6-7 On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. And He will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.
13
Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of His people He will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.
14
Hebrews 2:14-15 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.
15
2 Timothy 1:9-10 …not because of our works but because of His own purpose and grace, which He gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, Who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

Isaiah 25:9 It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, that He might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
17
Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in Your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.
18
2 Peter 3:8-9 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
19
Isaiah 40:28-31 …Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;…
20
Isaiah 25:9 It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, that He might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
21
For Our Consideration Who or what is your God? Can you recount wonderful things that God has done? Has God been faithful and sure? Has God been a stronghold to you in the past? A shelter from the storm, shade in the heat?
22
For Our Consideration Do we believe and look forward to the ultimate wedding feast on the mountain of God? Do we believe that death has been swallowed up already at Calvary? Do we believe that all tears will be wiped away? That every reproach will be cast off? Is waiting for all of this worth it? Is waiting for God’s salvation and perfect will to be revealed worth the frustration over timing issues? Will we rejoice and be glad in Him?
23
Prayer Focus Thank You Lord for being our God and Father Thank You for Your word that explains such things to us Thank You for another day to live with You doing wonderful things in our lives
