Hybrid licensing toolkit
2/25/ :43 AM Hybrid licensing toolkit License mobility through SA Allows customers to move eligible server applications to a dedicated VM on (a third party’s) shared servers. (Third) party must be authorized mobility partner (SPLA partner with LM amendment) or Azure. Requires active Software Assurance coverage on eligible server licenses and all CALs used to access such servers. SALs for SA SALs for SA may be acquired and assigned to users who have also been assigned a qualifying CAL with Software Assurance. It enables such users to access a third party hosted multi-tenant environment at a reduced price, as the SAL for SA price takes the end-customer’s investment for the qualifying CAL w/SA under VL into account. The SAL for SA fee on SPLA replaces the server license fee on VL. © 2014 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
