AGEC (Arizona General Education Certificate) is for those students who wish to complete a “general education block” before transferring to an Arizona university. Successfully completing the AGEC means all AGEC courses will transfer as a block to ASU, NAU and UA. If a student completes it with a 2.5 GPA or better, students will be guaranteed admission to ASU, NAU, and UA AGEC-A Is the General Education part of the AA degree AGEC-B Is the General Education part of the ABus degree AGEC-S. . . 14 Receiving Financial Aid?
Student Financial Aid Responsibilities … Receiving Financial Aid? Enroll only for those classes that apply to the declared program of study. Maintain satisfactory progress each semester. 2.0 minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) Cumulative completion rate of at least 75% Total Completed (finished) Credits Total Attempted (started ) Credits Maximum number of overall/cumulative credits does not exceed 80 credits. Students will be placed on automatic FINANCIAL AID SUSPENSION if they: Completely withdraw from all classes Receive grades of all “NS” and/or “F” Exceed the 80 credit maximum And students will have to repay a part or the entire financial award for classes not attended, dropped, reduced, withdrawn or cancelled.

Things to consider… “C” or better grades for graduation or transfer “No Show” Drop/Add week and last day to withdraw “Take care of your GPA” In Person vs Online Classes Full-time or Part-time 12 + credits is considered full-time Back to back classes vs. spread out over the day Create a realistic schedule Balance Obligations (work, family, friends, church, etc) Study Time (1 cr hr = 2 hrs study) Take a “fun” course
