COMPARISON BETWEEN THE FIRST 9 MONTHS OF 2015 AND 2016
According to the Energy of the Real Estate Report created based on the number of the electricity subscribers of CLK Boğaziçi Elektrik, the number of the transactions by the movers to new houses increased by 23.4% to 101,351 in the first nine months of 2016.
The Move-ins to New Houses stood at 82,095 in the first half of 2015.
The Move-ins to Pre-owned Houses fell by 10.7 percent to 241,279
This figure stood at 270,433 in the first 9 months of 2015.

3. JULY WAS THE SLOWEST MONTH OF 1 YEAR IN MOVES
Moves to New Houses
JULY WAS THE SLOWEST MONTH OF 1 YEAR IN MOVES
101,351 new houses welcomed their movers in the first nine months of the year.
This means 23.4 percent increase from the same period of last year, when 82,095 new houses were occupied.
Due to the problems during July, this figüre was at 7,231, the lowest level of the last 12 months.
362 families moved to new houses each day in the first 3 months of 2016, while this figure rose to 435 in the first half with an increase of 20 percent.
In the first 9 months of this year, the number of families who moved to their new houses was 369.

4. Move-ins to Pre-owned Houses
MOVE-INS ARE ON THE RISE
Total number of move-ins to the pre-owned houses which stood at 270,433 as of the first nine months of 2015 dropped by 10.7 percent to in the same period of 2016.
The number of existing houses where people moved to was 23,659 in July, 31,222 in August, and 31,672 in September.
The pre-owned house moves in September, was 31,672, the highest recorded monthly figüre in the last 12 months.

7. Urban Transformation Impact
NUMBER OF DEMOLISHED APPARTMENTS IN FEBRUARY-SEPTEMBER PERIOD
CLK Boğaziçi Elektrik has began to keep the apartment demolition statistics specifically for the Energy of the Real Estate Report which reveals the urban transformation movement in Istanbul.
According to the apartment demolition statistics which began to be kept on February 2016, between February and September, 12,261 apartments were included in the urban transformation activities for renewal.
This means that, 50 apartments are demolished per day.

8. Distribution of Foreign Subscribers
The rise of the foreign families in the total subscriptions slowed down in the third quarter of 2016.
The number of foreign families which stood at 18,611 in the first 3 months of 2016 recorded a further increase by 6,243 and reached 24,800 in the following 3 months.
The total number of foreign families rose by 17.3 percent to 29,169 in the third quarter.
For the foreign families other than Syrian, the numbers of housing subscriptions were 463 in July, 681 in August, and 677 in September.
On the other hand, the number foreign business subscribers other than Syrian was only 172 in the third quarter.
According to the nationalities, the shares within the total foreign residents of Istanbul is 35 percent for the Middle East countries, 20 percent for the European and African countries, 15 percent for the East Asian countries and 10 percent for the American countries.

Occupants of residents and businesses of Syrian origin in the European side of Istanbul which stood at 1,787 in the first 9 months of 2015 rose by 428 percent to 9,439 in the same period of 2016.
Of the total 12,689 electricity subscribers of Syrian origin; 11,545 subscribers are for residences and 1,144 are for businesses.
Monthly applications by Syrians for residential subscription which reached 1736 in June, slowed down in the third quarter.
Monthly applications by Syrians for business subscription was 124 in August.
