We’ve all been there! Typical practice Types of regular season tournaments: MN/USA Qualifiers - more competitive Open tournaments Qualifiers “qualify” your child for entrance to the state tournament based on points (25 pts needed) (1) 1st place finish is 40 points – qualifies for state (1) 2nd place finish is 25 points – qualifies for state (1) 3rd place finish is 10 points – need 3

16 New Parent/Wrestler Orientation
Club has “coach attended” tourneys – check Facebook weekly for updates. Ask for a coach prior to your wrestler’s match Tournament uniform – Mat Club t-shirt, singlet, headgear, shoes, personal preference items (mouth guard, knee pads, etc.) Keep wet wipes in your wrestler’s backpack You can independently go to tournaments Rule of thumb for # of tournaments – match your child’s age Get to know your coaches & team techs. We will help talk you through tournaments & who’s attending Ask other parents about tournaments & who’s attending Practice behavior – If you’re in attendance, please help maintain discipline

17 Get Involved! It’s your club – get involved! Recruit 1 more wrestler
Board member positions available each year – please see a board member about open positions if interested Volunteer hours – critical to the success of the club and our tournament Lee

18 Thank you! We look forward to another successful year! 2016-2017
