4 CHSSN –CROP Survey on Community Vitality
Questionnaire Each year the questionnaire is created in consultation with the stakeholders and leaders of English language community organizations and institutions. The core of the study has remained the same across 2005, 2010 and Some modifications and new questions added to adjust to changing context. Data Collection The latest survey was conducted between February 27th and April 15 in 2015. A total of 3,014 randomly selected English speakers across Quebec, aged 18 and over, answered the questionnaire through telephone interview. CHSSN held focus groups in four regions in September and October of 2015. Reporting The CHSSN has produced two reports based on the findings from the 2015 survey. The report on English Language Health and Social Services Access in Quebec is available in both English and French.

5 English-speaking Community of Laval
According to the 2011 Census of Canada, there are 82,080 English-speaking individuals living in the Laval region (RTS) of Quebec. This group represents 20.6% of the total population of the region. When Quebec’s English-speaking regional communities are compared, the community of Laval experienced the greatest jump in size from 1996 to 2011 along with Nord- du-Quebec. An increase of 31,367 individuals, or close to 62% growth, was experienced in the fifteen year period.
