2. Why I have chosen phone hacking for my dissertation?
The reason behind my choice is because the phone hacking scandal was such a high profile topic of interest, creating such a powerful impact on how people view journalism. It made sense too me to start an investigation regarding how phone hacking impacted on journalism. This is the question I will be asking.

3. Research Disadvantages
Because the phone hacking scandal gained so much press, the endless amount of research that I can do, to collect my findings. However there disadvantages that I’m aware of such as because there is so much information out that which various stories with celebrities private phone calls and images being hacking into and exposed to the public, I could find myself having too much information therefore my research becoming to broad.

4. Research Advantages
I plan to overcome this by narrowing my research to one specific area, using three prime examples and exploring them in further depth backing them up with quotes, interviews, statements.

5. I will do online research using sources such as the BBC, to put together my findings. However I won’t limited my research to just online I will visited college library and the city hall library to collect information. I will also put in an FOI.
