1 Words To Know Week 07 Vocabulary

2 digraph (n.) ch, sh, th, wh, ph
Define: 2 letters that make one sound. Example: p and h together ‘ph’ make the ‘f’ sound like in phone. Ask: Tell me a digraph and I will think of a word it is in and then I will say that word for you.

3 lyrics (n.) Define: (1.) a lyric, a poem or a verse (2.) the words of a popular song Example: “Happy Birthday” are very famous lyrics. Ask: Can you remember the lyrics in our Christmas performance songs? What lyrics of a song do you know?

4 have (v.) 有 Define: We use have with I, you, we, they and more than one person or thing. Example: I, (you, we, they, more than one person) have a family. Ask: What things do you have in your bedroom?

5 has (v.) 有 Define: We use has with he, she it, name and one person or thing . Example: Suzy has black hair. I like her because she has good manners. She writes good lyrics and has a number one song. Ask: Note when we ask questions we do not use ‘has’ we use ‘have’. But we can answer with ‘has’. P.T.O

What does she have? She has a _________. What do they have? They have _________. What does he have? _____ has __________. What do your friends have? My friends have_______?

7 had (v.) 有 Define: past tense for have and has. Example: I had a fun weekend and she had fun, too. We had fun together. Ask: Did you have a fun time on the weekend why or why not? Yes, I had a fun because we _________. No, because I had to __________.

I, you, we, they, many people or things HAVE Unless your asking a question then we use HAVE Or using the word doesn’t, for example; Does he have an apple? No, he doesn’t have and apple.
