2. What is a Spelling Bee?
A spelling competition – you are given a word and have to spell it correctly!
Watch this video to get a better idea
The difference is that you will be spelling words in SPANISH!

3. How does it work?
Before Christmas you will all be given 50 Spanish words to learn.
You must be able to:
Translate the words from English to Spanish
Spell them using the Spanish alphabet.
There will be a class competition just before Christmas.

4. How does it work?
After Christmas your class winners (2 boys and 2 girls) will be given 50 more Spanish words to learn (100 words in total).
The class winners will meet in ML7 one lunchtime a week to practise and you could also test them as a class.
There will be a school competition just before Easter.

5. How does it work?
After Easter the school winners (2 boys and 2 girls) will be given 50 more Spanish words to learn (150 words in total).
The school winners will continue to meet in ML7 one lunchtime a week to practise.
There will be an Eastern Region interschool competition just before the summer holidays.
