2. Rousse
Ruse is the fifth largest city in Bulgaria with population of people. The average number of employees under labour contract in 2016 is people. The city's economy is dominated by light industry- tailoring, textiles and food processing. Ruse is a large industrial centre- with 2 industrial zones - East and West. It has a business park and a dock on the bank of the Danube river.
42.5% of the citizens are emoployees

4. Percentage of unemployment
in Ruse
According to the Labour Office in Ruse the unemployment rate in the city continues to fall. In September 2015 the unemployment rate was 3.2% in comparison with the percentage in September %. In September 2016 there were 239 less unemployed  people than the previous month.
Also, 417 people were hired.

5. Most wanted jobs
In the Labour Office 368 work places were offered. The manufacturing, marketing and car-repairment industries are in crucial need for employers. Also, in administration, catering and hotel management. 61 work places have been offered for people with teaching qualifications.

6. January’s rate of unemployment
According to the Labour Office, in January 2016 the number of hired people doubled compared to January More people without a certain qualification(393) and people without higher education(252) were employed. At that time the number of proposed workplaces exceeded 4 times these in December, the month characterised with the highest level of unemployment.

7. Most employed in 2016 Over a half of the employed citizens were women.
Compared to the year 2015 more young people under the age of 29 were employed -414.
169 citizens without a job for a long time were employed.
35 people with reduced
working ability  were also hired.

8. January 2016 most wanted
In this month the number of people in search for a job tripled. Available workplaces were offered in the following positions:
Administrative field
Transport
Governence
Farming
Education and marketing
Hotel industry and catering

9. Highest rate of unemployment in the Area of Ruse
Municipality of Ruse has the lowest level of unemployment-4.5% (3662 people)
In the nearby villages and smaller towns round Ruse the unemplyment rate is a lot higher. It ranges from 12% to 34%.

10. Unemployed’s age Of all registered jobless citizens:
47% are over the age of 50
42% are aged between 30 and 49
11% are aged under 29
The number of unemployed people under the age of 29 decreased in 2016 compared to December 2015 and January 2015.

11. Unemployment in Bulgaria
Unemployment Rate in Bulgaria increased to 8% in December 2016 from 7.9% in November of Unemployment Rate in Bulgaria averaged 11.9% from 1991 until 2016, reaching an all time height of 19.2% in February, 2001 and a record low of 4% in April, 1991.
