1. How to Work on your METEO 473 codes from your PC at home

2. 1) Go to Firefox

3. 2) Shrink the Firefox window

4. 3) Search for PUTTY (an SSH client)

6. 5) Scroll down and download putty.exe

7. 6) Move the putty.exe to an easily locatable area on your desktop

8. 7) Running Putty a) double click on putty b) type in lethe.met.psu.edu
c) type in lethe
d) click save
e) click open b c d e

9. 8) Sign in to get the screen below (Same as your meteo access account username and password)

10. Special Notes & Considerations
You can open many of these files (known as terminals). It is advisable that you open at least two, one for the code and one to compile the code.
You cannot use gedit, you must use VI or any other text editor that doesn’t involve an x-terminal.
