Computer Lab – Lee 212
We provide one-on-one peer tutoring. Students may make an appointment for a 30 minute free tutoring session. For many of the more challenging courses, we provide study groups where a tutor will go over what the student should have learned that week in class and reinforce the material.
We provide Supplemental Instructor (peers) who attend the classes and then provide tutoring sessions outside class. Students attending the SI tutoring session typically earn ¾ of a letter grade higher than students who do not attend the study sessions.

Tutors are qualified
Minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered for employment
Average tutor has 3.5 GPA or higher
Tutors are either CRLA* certified OR pursuing certification training
Tutors passed classes they tutor with an A
Tutors are recommended by faculty
*College Reading and Learning Association

Extension of the Classroom Experience

Hosts two 2-Hour tutoring sessions per week
Compare notes, Discuss chapter readings, Develop organizational tools, and Consider potential test items
Sessions are held in or near building that class meets.
