Reporting Period: December Programme Management Board

2 Programme Management Board
Programme Status At month 9 the Trust has achieved £4,297k in savings. For the same period the planned savings target was £5,625k, representing £1,328k under performance. Realisation of the planned savings in 2014/15 has been delayed due to the length of the service review process. The recurrent underperformance is £350k. Service reviews are progressing well. All services have now completed the consultation process with the exception of Long Term Conditions which will conclude on 20 February The financial aspects of the schemes will be realised in 2014/15 but significant business change activity associated with the reviews will continue into 2015/16. The review process has had a great impact on staff morale and whilst there is clear evidence of involvement in the planning and implementation, there is work to do in improving engagement across the Trust. Particular hotspot areas include Community Paediatrics and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Action plans are in place. The impact on staffing numbers is provided in the private agenda paper. Service review implementation plans have been developed and incorporated into the business plans for 2015/16. The EPR recovery plan is being delivered to schedule. Plans for 2015/16 are progressing. The General Managers and the Programme Management Office are working to agree the financial savings target for each element of the 2015/16 project. The 2015/16 planned efficiency savings have been updated to reflect current planning assumptions. These are work in progress. New projects for 2015/16 are being currently being scoped. These include a move to a centralised booking service, corporate review and the outstanding service reviews (always planned for 2015/16 ) Programme Management Board
