3. Project NEVET
The main aim of the NEVET project is to elaborate, test and disseminate new types of assessment and evaluation methods, which ensure the efficiency of the teaching/learning process, which can be used in the adult education and vocational training system, and for which the required tools of application are at the teachers’ disposal.

11. BEST has been active in more than 20 European projects in various educational pro- grammes, mainly LEONARDO DA VINCI, SOCRATES and EQUAL, with many partners all over Europe.

In the NEVET project, the following methods are examined both theoretically and practically:
self-assessment (in printed and electronic format)
project evaluation (including also the evaluation final projects)
portfolio evaluation
electronic teacher assessment
evaluation of practical work

The following competence areas are surveyed with the help of the above-mentioned novel assessment methods:
IT knowledge
technical IT language knowledge (English)
German as foreign lamguage
employee competences (self-manage-ment, problem solving, independent learning, cooperation and communication skills/abilities)

14. Project NEVET Target groups of the project:
The project’s outcomes and tested methods may successfully be utilized by institutes specialized in teacher training, further training, vocational training and adult education; additional target groups may include practicing teachers as well as education and research experts interested in this topic and its application.

The project includes overall international status assessments and experiments performed with regard to the new evaluation methods, based on which new theoretical and practical curricula can be developed and disseminated.
