I can identify the purpose of an instructional text. Find out information about animals and how to look after them e.g. Internet, zoo keepers, books. Sequenced steps made clear with numbers or bullet points. What is the purpose of instructions and how do we use them? Add captions and labels to a diagram. I can write my own instructions about how to look after an animal. Some children should say what, how and why for each instruction.

I can connect two ideas in a sentence. I can use question marks correctly. My diagrams are clearly labelled.

5 Maths: Multiplication
Recall odd and even numbers. Recall inverse facts for 1dx1d. Recall multiplication and division facts for 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables. Calculate number sentences for multiplication and write them using x and = Practise multiplication facts to become more fluent and connect them to each other. Show that multiplication of two numbers can be done in any order. Maths: Multiplication Relate multiplication facts to fractions and measures. Connect the 10 multiplication table to place value. Connect the 5 multiplication table to divisions on the clock face. Use a variety of language e.g multiples, lots of etc Solve problems in contexts using multiplication. Using multiplication facts. Using repeated addition. Using mental methods. Using materials. Using arrays.

6 Solve problems in contexts using division.
Recall multiplication and division facts for 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables. Divide by a single digit using your knowledge of multiplication facts e.g. 20 ÷ 4 = (5x4=20) Share a set of objects equally. Use the ÷ sign in a number sentence. Practise multiplication facts to become more fluent and connect them to each other. Show that multiplication of two numbers can be done in any order but that division of one number by another cannot.. Maths: Division Use a variety of language to describe division. Use related division facts to perform written and mental calculations. Relate multiplication facts to fractions and measures. Recall inverse facts for 1dx1d. Divide multiples of 10. Solve problems in contexts using division. Using repeated subtraction. Using mental methods Using division facts. Using materials. Using arrays.

7 Symmetry and Reflection
7. Draw the reflection of a shape when it’s not touching the mirror line. Symmetry and Reflection 6. Draw the reflection of a shape with a vertical line of symmetry. 5. Draw the reflection of a shape with a horizontal line 4. Recognise when shapes do not have a line of symmetry. 3. Identify lines of symmetry by folding shapes. 2. How can we make patterns with a line of symmetry? 1. How do we recognise and draw a line of symmetry?
