3. What is an elevator speech?
A clear, brief message
Lasts about the length of an elevator ride
30 seconds to 2 minutes
Communication with a purpose
What are you trying to accomplish? What do you want as a result of the communication?
Avoid “data dump”, rambling
Listener should want to follow-up
