Welcome to Downs View Infant School. We hope you are looking forward to coming to our school. We are looking forward to meeting you.

3. In Foundation Stage we have three classes.

4. Here are some of the grown ups you will find in Reception.

5. We have our own school uniform.
We have a P.E. kit.
We have a book bag to put our letters and books in. We hang these on our pegs with our coats.

6. We bring in our wellies so that we can play outside in all weathers.

7. Each class has their own classroom. But in every classroom there is...

and lots more.

8. All three classes share one big outdoor area.

In the outdoor area you can do all these things and more.

use sports equipment
play in the sand
play in the water
use your imagination!

10. We use the school hall for P.E.

11. and sometimes the adventure playground.

12. Sometimes we have a long walk up to the school office
where we put our register back or come and have a chat
with Mrs Kent our Head Teacher or Mrs Collins our
Deputy Head.

13. During the school day we have lots of exciting activities
to take part in. In the morning we make time to have a
drink and some fruit with our friends.

14. At lunchtime we can either have a school dinner or
a packed lunch in the dinner hall.
The dinner ladies are there to look after us.
What will you be having at lunch time?

15. In the afternoon we carry on with more exciting
activities and then normally just before home time
we have a story.
