Red Ribbon Week is next week
For the next few weeks we will tackling fractions. This week includes prime & composite numbers, comparing, +/- with unlike denominators, finding common multiples and factors, renaming, and simplifying.
Please continue to focus on facts.

We have explored Point of View: 1st Person, 2nd Person and 3rd Person (Limited & Omniscient). We have also begun talking about the struggles characters face – Man vs man, Man vs Nature, Man vs Self. Next week we will discuss Theme using books on Immigration.

We are creating our food chains and food webs in the African rainforest in addition to identifying the interdependency of the plants and animals there. We’ll discuss the climate of the rainforest and the adaptations of the plants and animals that live there. TEKS 5.9A,B
We have begun our unit on government. We’re tackling the purpose of rules & government in a civilized society. TEKS: 15, 16
We are exploring creative writing elements, and including them into our writings. TEKS: 20
