The new starbucks Jill E. Farris

Current state of operations
We will be updating the Starbuck network due to it is out dated and not secure for today’s standards. Currently, the computers are running Windows XP which is not even being supported by Microsoft anymore. The wireless is old and needs to be up to date. The printers are local and network printing is a better option. With local printers they can break down and the users do not have any other way to print. The server is very old and not supported by Microsoft.

INCREASING NETWORK SECURITY THREATS THAT NEED A COMPREHENSIVE SECURITY POLICY
The Cisco 24 port switch will be put in a locked cabinet or closet. The router and server will be set to All Secure The ports that are not in use will be shut down on the switch for better port security. Will make the port and mac address sticky. A number of addresses will be configured and the rest to be dynamically configured. A password must be put on the router and switch in admin mode. Viruses and phishing are a threat on any network, so virus protection is vital Ransomware, spear phishing is an that appears to be from an individual or business that you know. But it isn't. It's from the same criminal hackers who want your credit card and bank account numbers, passwords, and the financial information on your PC. Will have employees sign an end user agreement on where they go.
