E-Commerce in China (2015) Fourth, e-commerce in rural areas has been taken onto the fast track of development. The total startups hatched in the six biggest “dual innovations” cities accounted for 81 percent of the nation’s total. The number of startups in Beijing was far ahead of those in other cities, accounting for over one third of the nation’s total.
