South Mountain’s blue print for improvement. Drives decisions regarding, teaching, learning, student support, community engagement, etc. Reviewed weekly to check for implementation and progress. 7 goals 4 college goals 2 career goals 1 life goal

College goals College 1: By the end of the school year, 95% of students will take their required AzMERIT exams. College 2: By the end of the school year, students will meet or exceed district average scores on all six AzMERIT exams. College 3: By the end of the school year, the graduation rate will increase to 85%. College 4: By the end of the school year, the drop-out rate will decrease to 2%.

Career goals Career 1: By the end of the school year 100% of students will demonstrate intrapersonal skills such as time management, work ethic, self- motivation, resiliency, positive attitude, flexibility, and being a life-long learner, skills that will prepare them for success in career. Career 2: By the end of the school year 100% of students will demonstrate interpersonal skills such as being a problem solver, having effective communication, being a team player, being reliable, having professionalism, and being collaborative.

Life goal Life 1: By the end of the school year 100% of students will demonstrate behaviors that will prepare them for success in life such as tolerance, cultural sensitivity, integrity, having environmental awareness, being involved in community, and being well-rounded.

Az merit College readiness exam.
Information provides you, your child and school information about progress in Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards (AZCCRS). Exams are given to students as they are completing English and math courses (Freshman, Sophomore and Junior English; Algebra 2, Geometry and Algebra 4). Students will take exams with their English and math teachers to ease test pressure. Exams will occur March 27th to April 9th.
