5. Attendance Rehearsals are IMPORTANT and critical to success!
All performers MUST be at all rehearsals! In the first month, students will be called based on groups.
There are no excused absences during:
Tech Week – April 24th- April 28th
Dress Rehearsals on Friday, April 28th and Monday, May 1st
Performances:
Thursday, May 4th at 7:30 P.M.
Friday, May 5th at 7:30 P.M
Saturday, May 6th at 2:00 P.M
Missed practices may result in conference, lost scene or out of show if excessive.

6. The Audition Process: Part I - The Music
STEP ONE: Learn audition song, We ‘re Off to See the Wizard, and perform vocal audition.
Placed into audition group (5 or 6 hopefully)

STEP TWO: Perform audition acting games in groups.
Freeze Tag – Group scene creation
How you add yourself into a scene (Do you work well with a group to further a scene)
Do you take risks and/or commit to a character?
Do you take a leadership role in creating a scene?
Walk Across
How you physically portray the prompt
Do you commit to the way you have decided to portray this? 
Is your walk across original or do you look for answers elsewhere?”

8. The Audition Process: Part II – The Acting
STEP TWO: Perform audition acting games in groups.
Emotional Posing (Emotional Mannequin Challenge)
How you react to the prompt
How you work with others
How much you sell the emotion through:
use of your body -physicality
use of gestures
use of facial expressions

9. Callbacks Not all students that will be cast are called back
List posted on Thursday
Take place on Friday
Include:
Learning music; singing in duets, trios or solos
Reading from scripts

10. Cast and Crew Lists
Cast List will be posted on Sunday, March 5th morning at the latest.
All members of the cast should be at practice on Monday, March 6th!
It is not possible to cast everyone who tries out, but you can be a part of the production by being in the crew.
Complete a crew application form. Due on Tuesday, March 7th!
Crew list posted on Wednesday, March 8th.
All crew members should attend practice on Friday, May 10th! Parent meeting follows!
