MDGs SDGs The MDGs framework focused attention and resources on the attainment of particular goals The MDGs have been an influential attempt and international target setting in the field of development Three of the eight MDGs are focused on health without interlinkages ignoring that health is also a component of several other MDGs (nutrition, water and sanitation). SDGs are universally applicable to all countries Focus is on human rights principles and values - “Leaving No One Behind”, The 17 goals are integrated, indivisible, and inter-linked with significant health dimension
