1 Our presentation is going to be based on Four Four Two magazine
Our presentation is going to be based on Four Four Two magazine. You can see the kind of high profile footballers past and present that the magazine has featured over the years. The likes of the England team, the Barcelona team and legends such as Diego Maradona who is on the front cover here in the January 2011 issue.

2 What is Four Four Two? Costs £4.30 164 pages on average
Published in 16 countries Published in 9 Languages Sponsors of Swindon Town Average Circulation 90,077 1st Monday of Every Month Four Four Two is a football magazine that costs £4.30. This is quite expensive for a magazine so a reader expects a high quality publication. On average the magazine is 164 pages long and they feature a number of different footballing topics such as; a moment of triumph over the past month, for example if a team has won a game where they were expected to lose heavily. There is always a section called “a word from the editor” where the editor refers to the month gone by aswell as writing about the current issue and there is also a section where a letter has been sent to the editor by a reader, this appears in the issue and a prize is given to the reader. There is always a one on one section which is when readers send in questions that are put directly to a featured player or manager. I think that these sections are important because they keep loyal readers in touch with the magazine. It is published in 16 countries including countries not necessarily associated with a large football fan base including Egypt, Thailand, Vietnam, Nigeria and Korea. The magazine is published in English, Bulgarian, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Portuguese, Swedish, Turkish and Polish. In 2008, the magazine entered into a shirt sponsorship deal with Swindon Town Football Club. It was a three year deal and started during the season. We have a picture of the kit here. According to the Audit Bureau of circulations, Four Four Two has a total average net circulation per issue of 90,077. of this 75,212 were sold in the UK and Ireland leaving just 14,865 issues sold overseas in total. It is available to buy on the first Monday of every month.

3 1994 200th edition February 2011 First Edition
The first edition of Four Four Two was in 1994, so its 15 years old. In February 2011 they published the celebratory 200th edition which mainly featured players that were playing when the magazine first came out. This particular issue also looked at what football could be like in 2027 and light-heartedly talked about things like robot referees and £1billion transfers. Ryan Giggs and Alan Shearer were two players that were playing when the first issue came out in 1994 and they are on the front of the 200th issue.

4 Target Readership Men 18 - 34
The target readership is for men of 18 to 34 years old. This could be because most men that play football, play between these ages. Four Four Two often advertises products such as football boots and if the target readership for the magazine was say 60 years and over, a brand or product making football boots wouldn't choose to advertise in the magazine if the readers wouldn’t be interested in their Product.
