Gathering for Seminars
Meet your group outside of Sellery Hall before walking or boarding a bus to seminars. Be prepared to walk! WLC members will hold up signs for you to find your seminar group and they will lead groups to seminar classrooms or sites. A few seminars, like the Capitol seminar leave earlier than usual but will still gather beforehand in the courtyard next to the dorm.

Madison Masonic Center
Assemblies are held in the Madison Masonic Center or the Memorial Union Theater. Both are located several blocks from Sellery Hall. Rides are available for those who need them! Delegates and Adult Advisors should be prepared to walk several blocks each way to attend seminars and assemblies. Wear comfortable shoes. If anyone has special needs due to physical challenges that prohibit walking long distances, advise them to sign up at the conference Headquarters in Sellery Hall for shuttle service. The van driver will meet them before each seminar or assembly in front of Sellery Hall. However, they must be signed up so the driver 1) can plan the schedule and 2) doesn’t inadvertently leave anyone behind. Assemblies will be held in the Madison Masonic Center (MMC) and the Memorial Union Theater.. The MMC theater is one of the largest auditoriums near campus and holds all 500 conference attendees with room to spare. Youth are requested to sit with their county chaperone at assemblies.

talk with your county delegation to decide what kind of attire to wear and when/where to take the photo County Lead Advisors are to ensure that all county delegation members, plus your 4-H Educator, receive a copy of the group photo. Decide with the delegation what type of attire will be worn for the county delegation photo: Casual? 4-H Attire? Dressy? Some delegations choose to wear their Conference t-shirts for their county delegation photos. In 2017, we are trying something new – delegations may choose when and where to take their group photos. There will be an area in Headquarters to use…or be creative and take the group photo somewhere else on campus. There will be county signs in Headquarters available to use in the photo.
