15 SCLEROTINIA CONTROL

16 SCLEROTINIA (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum) – 2016 learnings
Machinery tracks Higher infection occurring at ground level from leaf-soil contact. Resulted in basal infection before spray applied. Apothecia emerged in June and kept emerging until early Sept. Green leaf retention (disease control) in crop with Prosaro applied was strong with Aviator Xpro showing greater capacity for GLR. Lupins also suffered severe sclerotinia infections in 2016 – these paddocks need to be marked for future rotations Temperature a key - disease moved slow when temperature was cool despite moisture 2 spray strategy was required in many areas due to early infection. Green leaf retention response stronger in 2 x spray Increases in yield and oil over single application Treat sclerotinia the same as managing a weed seed bank. Farmer retained seed will need grading to remove sclerotes WE23:Aviator 800 mL/ha single spray 23/9/16

25 Canola - technical attributes
Best in class on sclerotinia and blackleg 800 mL rate for stronger and longer control of sclerotinia Other products don’t have the same broad spectrum Two modes of action that both have activity Resistance management in blackleg Leafshield technology Rapid rain-fastness & no adjuvants Compatible with key herbicides, insecticides and liquid fertilisers Rotational product with maximum 2 sprays per crop
