5 SLACKEDUROOMS DEFINITION
INFOSLACK SLACK/DEFINTION Team communication for the 21st Century, say the fine people at Slack. Slack brings all your communication together in one place. It’s real-time messaging, archiving, and search for modern teams. Slack is a cloud-based team collaboration tool co-founded by Stewart Butterfield, Eric Costello, Cal Henderson, and Serguei Mourachov. Rad.

6 SLACKEDUROOMS ADOPTION
INFOSLACK SLACK/ADOPTION According to ReCode, 3 million people use Slack every day. They are adding a million users every 5 to 6 months. About those large companies: Slack says it is now used at 77 percent of the Fortune 100. In most of those cases it starts out in use in a single department and then spreads. When those teams get bigger, they upgrade from the free version to the paid version. Whoa.

15 INFOSLACK SLACKEDUROOMS DATA SLACK/DATA
Data is gathered from internal Slack tools, data integration apps and ID strategies. Slack has various levels of data available for administrators, depending upon the version you use. From message activity in channels to granular interactions, you can develop strategies to harness learning outcomes. Integrations such as StatsBot are available in the free version, as well. Yay.

16 INFOSLACK SLACKEDUROOMS xAPI SLACK/xAPI
Meeting the criteria of xAPI can be accomplished in several ways, either for individual learners attached to outcomes and/or to evaluate growth for the environment itself. Growth matters. Slack allows for the usage and alignment of xAPI statements attached to feedback loops, polls, reactions and interactions. The key is to design learners outcomes that are measurable and design strategies that will provide data. Done.

17 SLACKEDUROOMS CASE STUDY
INFOSLACK SLACK/PILOT In 2016, a case-study was run of military personnel within a Slack EduRoom to evaluate design and implementation considerations. Slack pilot projects allow for the testing of design parameters, LX and user-experience design, data collection methods and learner and environmental growth outcomes. Noted.

20 SLACKEDUROOMS AI INDIVIDUAL PEER TO PEER COMMUNITY
Relation IQ - I Evaluates an continual data stream to determine opportunities and risks in individual performance indicators. Relation IQ -- Peer Evaluates relational data streams to determine opportunities and risks in within conversational indicators. . Relation IQ -- Community Evaluates environmental data signatures to determine opportunities and risks in within community atmospheres

21 SLACKEDUROOMS TAKE AWAYS
DESIGN MODERATION GROWTH DATA The key to design of a SlackEduRoom is to focus on the environment and experience you would want your learners to have and then provide them the necessary resources, tools and relationships. Be cognizant of the fact that a Slack environment is living thing and you will need to care for it, respond to it and help it grow as it becomes fully functional and actualized. An essential metric is the participation, adoption and expansion of the learners. As they begin to relate peer to peer and with the group as a whole the growth is a vital measurement of its success. Begin with the end in mind and formulate both formative (ongoing) and summative strategies for data analysis and performance management indicators.
