Some Freshmen Students Don’t Understand….
Will you change my teacher to Ms. Carter? I got bad grades. Can I start my GPA over? Even though I fail 5 classes, I’ll be a sophomore next year, right? Can I have study hall 1st or 8th hour?? This would really help me in a sport that I have to leave early for. I don’t like my English class. Can I drop it? I don’t like to swim and do not want to take it. Can I take a different PE? Will you move me from Honors to regular Biology right now? OMGoodness, I’m getting a B! Can I flip my English and math hours? 5 credits to be a sophomore GPA starts NOW!! Scheduling: No teacher changes. No teacher requests. No hour changes. No hour requests. B is an above average grade. No changes from honors! Level change process-see counselor. Students don’t have to take swim, they “get” to take swim. Some Freshmen Students Don’t Understand…. The Answer is “NO”…even for Parents
