10 Some people say that man-made climate change—the result of CO2 and other “greenhouse gases” released into the atmosphere over the last century—has resulted in a higher global temperature, causing devastating changes to the homeostasis of the planet. This higher temperature will eventually result in a melting of the polar ice caps, both north and south. Climate scientists predict that a cataclysmic sea-level rise will be the result of this, forcing a migration from the low-lying coastal areas around the world of over 1 billion people, the largest migration the earth has ever seen. The Pentagon states that climate change is the greatest threat to national security. Some people say this is all “hooey”, “junk science”, “environmental scare tactics”, “the biggest hoax ever”. What do you think?
