Some people say that man-made climate change—the result of CO2 and other “greenhouse gases” released into the atmosphere over the last century—has resulted in a higher global temperature, causing devastating changes to the homeostasis of the planet. Climate scientists predict that a cataclysmic sea-level rise will be the result of this, forcing a migration from the low-lying coastal areas around the world of over 1 billion people, the largest migration the earth has ever seen.
