2016 TAG 2010 TRG 2006 / 2007 TAG/TWG 2003 TAG Since 1994, significant investment has been made in the product and processes in the Stafford facility, which has resulted in a complete overhaul of the Dorman engine design into the 4000 series engines today. Volumes now circa 10 times the volume in this range we produced in 1994.

Market leading power density Performance optimised specific to rating E-unit and Epak available Intro The TAG allows Perkins to achieve a 1250kVA standby rating (1125kVA prime) from a smaller more compact engine, fulfilling this key node with an eight cylinder 30 litre product where Cummins and our other competitors would require a 38l. In a cost sensitive dollars-per-kilowatt market, the smaller unit is key to providing customers who have space limitations but will not compromise on power density with the most cost effective solution to their power generation needs. Markets served Intended for the global market, the TAG is ideal in applications where height and space restrictions apply. Specifically optimised for 1000kVA prime and 1250kVA standby. Suited for all environments, especially high ambient temperatures with good derate capability, and an option for tropical cooling system Availability Gateway 5 is due end of September, Gateway 6 (production) is scheduled for late December 2015, ex-works / 1st shipment due January 2016. Commonality across platforms Building on a Reliable Core Inlet manifolds and breather positioning Branch manifolds with band clamped exhaust bellows Building on a proven core engine Improved reliability cylinder heads Improved injectors Thermostats and water rails Upgraded air cleaners Improved performance Branch manifolds Previously one single manifold took the exhaust from each cylinder, now two branch manifolds feed the turbochargers individually for an improved performance. This is what allows the TAG to achieve its excellent load acceptance. Band clamped exhaust bellows improve serviceability to the engine as well as engine life Improved injectors Same 14 mm injector and same piston ring liner (PRL) as existing , & engines, enable the TAG to achieve the increased power rating, and bringing the 4008 in line with the rest of the refreshed 4000 Series family Thermostats and larger water rails have been optimised for coolant flow to enable the higher power rating Improved reliability Cylinder heads – revised valve/seat material and revised geometry provides improved head life, allows for increased time between overhauls (up to 7,500+ hours at prime power) Upgraded air cleaners New/ improved air cleaner – provides better dust holding and filtering capability
